Facebook groups calling for his death have already been created. Apparently it’s now open season on anyone named Ryan Lanza. Share this so people stop having blood vengeance for whoever this guy is.

Update: apparently the shooter may not have been named Ryan Lanza at all. Great job media. Apparently it may have been his brother Adam instead. Great, so his mother and brother are now dead and the media ruined his life during it all.

This right here is one of the main reasons, besides being a total tool and douchebag with the maturity level of half a teaspoon, that I hate Sirius Black.

You have this kid. This scared shitless teenager who looks up to you like a god, because you are a part of his FAMILY, not the part that hates and abuses him but the part that openly accepts who he is, and for a split second before your death, you reiterate to him that you NEVER SAW HIM FOR WHO HE WAS. He was always just James 2.0 to you. A buddy to hang out with, not a real son, not someone to be protected, because god knows you always encouraged him to break the rules and put himself in danger.

This is actually a large majority of the reason I hate a LOT of the adults in HP. Dumbledore saw Harry as a means to an end, a necessity for the ‘greater good’. Severus, as much as I love him personally, saw him as Lily’s son and also James 2.0. Remus Lupin saw him both as James/Lily’s son, but as a scared child that needed teaching, and while he nearly came close to caring for Harry as ‘just Harry’ like the boy says he is in the very first movie, the necessity of the war skews his view of Harry and he too falls into the ‘this boy is our savior and needs to do what needs to be done’.

The ONLY ADULTS who never did this to him and I consider to be ACTUAL parental figures for Harry are Hagrid (oddly enough, while he was a bit of a bumbler and whatnot, he always cared about Harry just for the sake of Harry), and Mrs. Weasely. While he may have had to share the Weasely’s attention with the rest of the clan, they always thought of him as ‘just another one of our kids’ and never were 100% okay with putting him in actual danger just like their own kids.

And I need to stop ragefacing over this because I get really mad at how love-starved and emotionally bereft this poor kid was even though I don’t like him much as a person. But whether I like you or not, no child should go through life feeling like they have to BE something to someone in order to be loved. They should be able to be ‘Just Harry’.
